German Quickstart – build your German and use it
Want to learn German faster but can't attend a daytime intensive course? Our German Quickstart gives you intensive and continuous German practice in an evening format: four sessions a week, two teachers and a combination of on-site and online learning.
With regular contact throughout the week, you build your German step by step and get plenty of opportunities to actively use what you learn.
Two teachers – two perspectives
All Quickstart courses are taught by two experienced teachers, each teaching two sessions per week. This gives you different voices, teaching styles and perspectives – while both teachers follow the same learning path and work closely together.
From A1.2: two complementary learning focuses
Once you have built your first foundations in German, the course is divided into two closely connected strands:
Language Focus – 2 sessions a week
Build your German systematically with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and the language structures you need to progress.
Skills & Communication – 2 sessions a week
Turn what you've learned into German you can actually use. Practise speaking and listening, work with real-life situations and become more confident communicating spontaneously.
Both strands reinforce each other throughout the week: new language is introduced, practised, revisited and actively used.
A1.1 – building the foundations together
When you are just starting German, language structures and communication can't yet be separated meaningfully. At A1.1, both teachers therefore work on all areas of the language, helping you build your first vocabulary and structures while using German from the very beginning.
2× Cologne + 2× online
Four evenings at language school can be difficult to fit into everyday life. That's why Quickstart combines two on-site sessions in Cologne with two live online sessions per week.
You get the intensity and continuity of four learning sessions without having to travel to class every evening.
Course format: 8 lessons / 4 sessions per week
Teachers: 2 teachers, 2 sessions each
Setting: 2 sessions on-site in Cologne + 2 sessions live online
Course times: Mon–Thu, 17:50–19:20 or 19:30–21:00
Levels: A1–A2
Course duration: approx. 2 months per sublevel
