At A1 and A2 level, a clear sequence is important. Grammar builds step by step, and learners need a solid structure to develop a reliable foundation.
From B1 onwards, language learning changes. Grammar is no longer simply introduced in a fixed sequence. Earlier structures return, become more complex and need to be combined and used more confidently. At the same time, learners increasingly develop very different strengths and gaps.
After 20 years of teaching German, we know that this is exactly where a more flexible approach makes sense.
